Ok, guys, seriously? What's going on with RPGs these days? This is not just one, but several. Less people in the chatrooms regularly, and seeing more and more untagged threads, or threads where the same group all tag each other. Why do some people get tons of threads and others have to beg with a tin cup for tags?

SNAP OUT OF IT!

I'd like it to make people's responsibility to tag untagged threads, or go outside your comfort zone and tag pups and muns you usually don't. RPG chatrooms really aren't that scary or even big lots of the time, if anything? They're half dead!

I know people got their own groups of friends and everything but come on, it's not high school it's RPG. Supposed to have fun, and people are starting to get frustrated and want to leave. Some already have for feeling the same way. Invite more ppl in, whether they're older or younger muns.

And remember, only you can prevent tagless EPs.

Some of it is- its summer. A lot of players are college students, and now they're back home where they may not have easy internet access. Its also VACATION TIME for a lucky few- they're off traveling and drinking margaritas and having fun while some of us are stuck home margaritaless

Though I do have to agree with the "only you can prevent untagged EPs!". I'm horribly bad at tagging out- I still think "omg, no one's going to want me or my char", despite years of playing. >_< People get comfort zones, and its hard to move out of them, for anyone.

I tend to forget about the chatrooms, so I am guilty of that one, and don't usually join one unless someone invites me.

I totally agree with you on the the other, though. There is no reason for EPs to go untagged. The only reason I would definitely NOT tag a thread is if there is no contact info for the mun in the profile. That is a big drawback for me, if I am not familiar with the pup or fandom, because I have no way to ask questions about things I don't understand.

Other than that, I think we all should challenge ourselves more than we tend to do.

I worry about tagging out sometimes too. Mostly since some of my EPs get overlooked or buried, and then I think ppl don't like the pup or me.

vicious cycle, and yeah, it's summer. which does also mean free time usually. since during the school year there was "OMG I got craploads of work, no time"

I wish I had money for vacation :(

Yeah, I think contact info's important, and it doesn't help that the contact list on the side bar is the old defunct link instead of the new. And new muns need to be reminded of it. but ppl are usually pretty pingable.

And yeah, a lot of it's comfort zones, and just sheer laziness.

*snugz* Whenever I start feeling like that, I don't do an EP- I just tag out. If I can dig up the courage. >_< Makes me feel better, without going "ok, I suck" and looking at an empty EP.

Though- I now have some Underhill stuff to make up for a set of lovely RPers, so....

Yeah, I've been deliberately tagging some random pups, or last night I glanced at a new pup's info, and pointed it out to another mun with a hey, I think yours and this one will get along.' and the thread's going well. :)

I agree completely and talked about this a bit in my journal a bit ago. At some time when I was fairly new I made this idea that I would everyday, tag a pup I didn't know.

Sadly life sometimes gets in the way, but I'm still trying. I think that's how I met you anyway, I just randomly tagged Draco and then there were fireworks.

I know chat can be worrying to some people, I happen to like but then I tended to know a lot of people in chat when I started. So yes I agree also *hugs*, glad of Milliways since met you.
